Trash the Dress!

Sometimes you need to break tradition to make tradition! In the US weddings and the trends that go along with them become a cage fight to land in the web world of Style Me Pretty or be memorialized on the pages of Wedding Magazine.  Well in some countries it’s not about rocking the dishes made of gold, the live swans, over posed photos and over the top flower budgets that make an impact.  It’s the back to the basics, unleash your inner child fun.  Besides what do you do with that dress after its over??

When I ventured into my photog search as I was planning my wedding in France I met Remy Choquet and Stéphanie Le Guenne of capturelife.  Meeting Remy for coffee at Café du Temple  just off Republic Square was pseudo surreal as we discussed the various shoot types, engagement, family, events, couples, etc.  However one caught my attention…. trash the dress?  Being both horrified and intrigued, {with a slight flair up of my artistic roots} he began to show me examples.   First I thought about the possible fate of my beautiful Reem Acra dress, then I immediately fell in love!  I committed, and at the end of the day my dress was just fine and sitting in a box like everyone else’s.  So I encourage all my fun ladies out there, break the traditions, be different, and be bold!  Check out some of these brave brides!
